Ms. Libia Masters, one of our undergraduate students, has just passed the National Certification for Medical Interpreters exam that has recently been established to certify medical interpreters. This is a major achievement and something to be proud of for Libia and for Georgia State.
Bio:
"In 2004, I completed 'Bridging the Gap' at Piedmont Hospital. For five years, I provided services as a Medical Interpreter in several prestigious medical institutions around Atlanta Metro. In 2005, I started at the Nursing Program at Georgia Perimeter College, but changed my career direction into languages. This May 2012, I will graduate as B.A. in Spanish and International Business at Georgia State University. My goal is to continue a master's degree in Modern Languages, Linguistics and Translation/Interpretation."
