Hispanic Caribbean Literature, Afro-Hispanic Literature, Comparative
Literature; author of Narrative Mutations: Discourses of Heredity
and Caribbean Literature. He is currently working on a study of the
interplay between time and narrative in contemporary fiction on first
encounters in the Americas.
