Study in Granada!

Georgia State University offers an exciting summer Study Abroad program in Granada (Spain) for undergraduate students. The purpose of the program is to provide students with the opportunity to improve their command of the Spanish language and to be in contact with the culture and speakers of the language by immersion in a native environment. Students will attend classes at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas, at the Universidad de Granada, and will live with families.

Comments from 2005 participants:

“The Study Abroad Program in Granada really helped me to improve my Spanish. I now understand much better even when someone speaks really fast! Granada is a very beautiful and fun town and it’s easy to know your way around because of its size. I enjoyed all the cultural activities and I would definitely recommend this program to other students who want to improve their Spanish.” –Finayon Simpson

“The Study Abroad in Granada Program is very worthwhile. It allows students to experience food, history, home and school settings, and may other aspects of the Spanish culture in a safe and guided situation. It is important that students are self-motivated. Everything is at your finger tips but it is up to the student to experience if or its full educational value.” –Sara Gregory

"The Granada Program was extremely beneficial to my Spanish speaking skills, and I had an unforgettable time. If you are considering whether or not to go, just go, you will never regret it.” ---Kelly Peterson

“I had many reason for wanting to participate in a study abroad program. I wanted to see that there was life beyond the American borders, learn a new appreciation for another culture, see history and of course practice my Spanish. I saw all of this and more. Participating in the study abroad program in Granada enabled me to see life through clearer eyes. The trip was simply incredible! To actually see history that I have read about was amazing. I saw the cultural differences between my culture and the culture of Spain. To study abroad is a once in a lifetime experience. I cannot recommend it enough." – Fletcher LeGardy.
