Public Transit ServicesOne of the largest mass transit authorities in the nation conveniently connects Georgia State to the immediate downtown vicinity and the broader metropolitan area. MARTA provides a number of affordable transportation options for the university’s constituents. Three train stations are within walking distance of university buildings; Georgia State Station on the east/west line; Peachtree Center and Five Points Stations on the north/south line. (See Images 3.19 and 3.20) Additionally, a number of bus routes serve the campus, including:
Students may purchase unlimited monthly rides for $26 through university-discounted MARTA TransCards. Faculty and staff pay $38. MARTA’s current per-ride rate is $1.75. (See Figure 3.6 on page 3.14)
