Relationship Among Campus Centers
Walking distance between campus buildings is ten to fifteen minutes. Other campus facilities include the student residence complex at North Avenue and Techwood Drive, and will soon include a new student residence complex currently under construction at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Ellis Street to open in 2007. This new complex will define a new northeastern reach for the downtown campus.
Other campus centers include: (See Figure 3.9)
The Panthersville property near the town of Panthersville in southern DeKalb County, encompasses athletic fields and the Language Research Center. (See Image 3.22) The Indian Creek Lodge site, which includes conference facilities, storage buildings, pool, and tennis courts, is located near the town of Clarkston in southeast DeKalb County. MARTA’s east line connects the Indian Creek facility directly with the downtown Campus. The Brookhaven Center, which offers classes for the Robinson Flex MBA program has free on-site parking for students. (See Image 3.23)
