0012 - The Counseling Center
Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning System: There are multiple air conditioning systems in this building, including a new packaged roof-top unit. There are multiple split systems on the lower floors serving various areas and the computer area on the lower floor. Cooling is generally unsatisfactory and the outside air intake is inadequate.
Plumbing: Plumbing is in fair condition in this building. Georgia State is in the process of upgrading to ADA compliance.
Electrical: The university is continually upgrading lighting fixtures to T8 lamps and electronic ballasts. Battery backup exit and egress lights are adequate. There is no emergency generator. The electrical system is fair in this building, but it is old.
Fire Alarm System: The system is fair but has not been recently upgraded.
