Summary

Georgia State University is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, contributing to a mix of government, community service, business, and retail activities knitted around several historic districts.

The campus includes a main cluster of buildings centered along Decatur Street, reaching from Pryor Street on the west to Butler Street on the east. On the west side of campus in the Fairlie Poplar District, the university occupies another cluster of buildings. The campus extends northward up Piedmont Avenue to Ellis Street. Walking from building to building requires no more than ten to fifteen minutes.

The University Village student residence complex is located at North Avenue and Techwood Drive approximately one mile from campus.
