6.2 Lounge / Merchandising (650/655/660/665)
In the CEFPI guidelines, this calculation is designed for building lounge space exclusive of the service space typically found in a student activity center. The CEFPI FY 2015 space requirement is approximately 31,925 ASF, compared with 40,229 ASF existing. CEFPI calculates lounge space for all departmental employees in the 300 Office category, and the remainder for all others in category 600 for students. Therefore the existing space assigned to student life (26,582 ASF) is shown under student service space.
