This NSC Supply Web Project is just one of several initiatives we are taking to further our efficiency. Since this effort is on going, we are currently testing several techniques in handling electronic requests received daily. You will not be affected by this effort in anyway, since it is done "behind the scene" in perl programming.

In the process of putting together the Interactive Material Request Form, we had to:

• label all shelves
• label all items we carry
• ID the location of each item
• do a thorough inventory
• cross-reference case and pack quantity for each item carried by different vendors
• update pricing based on our vendors' lastest contract quotes
• input all these information into the HTML Website and the background Perl Programs
