Study Abroad Programs

Not sure where to begin?

Attend a Globe Trekker Seminar as soon as possible. At the seminar, you will receive your Compass Handbook, which includes necessary forms, as well as guidance on how to select and apply for a program, how to have your course-work transferred back to Georgia State, and how to line up financial aid. A Study Abroad Advisor will provide you with an orientation to the Study Abroad Resource Library, and also answer your specific questions about studying abroad. It is never too early to begin exploring the exciting possibilities of study abroad. Take advantage of this opportunity and Go Far!

Seminars take place every week in the Study Abroad Resource Library, located at 10 Park Place South, Suite 500. To attend a Globe Trekker Seminar, please consult the advising schedule and make sure to arrive on time. There is no need to make an appointment.

Important Tips To Remember

Student Data Sheet

All students studying abroad must complete a Student Data Sheet. This form lets us know where, when, and with whom each student is going abroad. You can access that form HERE.

Good Academic Standing

Students who participate in any study abroad program must be in Good Academic Standing which is defined at Georgia State University as a cumulative *2.0 GPA for Undergraduate students and 3.0 GPA for Graduate students. Students must also not be on academic probation, suspension or exclusion. Students who are not in Good Academic Standing will not be permitted to study abroad at GSU.
*Robinson College of Business requires a 2.5 GPA for upper level courses.
