International Strategic Initiatives International Strategic Initiatives (ISI) is a seed grant fund designed to leverage external funding from U.S. Government and State Agencies, foundations, international funding agencies and the private sector to support long-term strategically focused international cooperation partnerships. Each year, OIA issues a Request for Proposal (RFP) for ISI funds totaling between $100,000 and $120,000 and awards multiple grants to successful applicants. Since its inception in 1997, this program has leveraged some $48.5 million in external funding, thereby facilitating internationalization in all six of Georgia State’s colleges.
