Comments:
Given Motion 2's recommendation to have only two summer sessions (a 3-week and a 7-week) in the Summer of 2000, Admissions and Standards recommends that the Summer 1999 calendar be modified to match the Summer 2000 calendar. Thus the recommended changes eliminate the 6-week session in the previously approved Summer 1999 calendar. This would avoid having four different summer session patterns in four years. The Summer 1999 calendar has already been published but Admissions and Standards (and the Registrar's Office) feel that the annoyances of informing students of the change would be less than the annoyances of having four different summer session patterns in four years.
