Seeking Visiting Instructors


GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY, Atlanta, Georgia. Visiting Instructor. The Department of Philosophy at Georgia State University anticipates one or more openings for full-time one-year teaching positions of Visiting Instructor (non- tenure-track) for the 2008-2009 academic year. Applicants must possess at least an M.A. degree in philosophy or closely related field. The teaching load is 12 semester hours per term and includes such courses as critical thinking, introduction to philosophy, business ethics and contemporary moral problems. The academic year salary is $27,500, and the positions carry fringe benefits (e.g., health insurance, retirement contributions). For more information about the department, see www.gsu.edu/philosophy.
