Faculty Opening in the Department of Religious Studies

The Department of Religious Studies anticipates an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning August 2009, pending budgetary authority. Ph.D. at time of appointment required. Specialist in American Religions preferred, but candidates with expertise that complements the department's existing strengths in Chinese religions, ancient and classical Hinduism, Islam, Biblical Judaism, contemporary Christian thought, Christian ethics, and religions of the ancient Mediterranean are also invited to apply. The department encourages applicants with interest in the comparative or interdisciplinary study of religion.
