Gsu-Korea University Joint Research Seminar - 1/23/2006

The Department of Political Science, in collaboration with the Asian Studies Center, sponsored the GSU-Korea University Joint Research Seminar on January 23, 2006. Organized by Political Science Assistant Professor Kim Reimann, the event brought together faculty and graduate students to discuss contemporary research topics in East Asian Studies. GSU doctoral students Carol Walker (“Creating a Counterterrorism Policy: Why Has Japan Had a Weak Response?”) and Xinsong Wang (“Rights Consciousness, Economic Interests, and the 2003 District-Level People’s Congress Elections in China: Middle Class Motivations and Democratic Implications”) presented papers, as did two counterparts from Korea University.
