NATO Comes to Georgia State- 2/23/2006

Lieutenant Commander Linda Price (British Royal Navy), a NATO Briefing Team Officer, addressed students in Dr. Morris’ POLS 3200 Comparative Politics and POLS 4242 European Union classes on February 23, 2006. Visiting from NATO’s only major military command in the USA (Allied Command Transformation, based in Norfolk, VA), Lt. Commander Price covered a range of pressing issues including: NATO’s new strategy for managing peace and dealing with crises; the development of a NATO Response Force; NATO’s role in hotspots such as Afghanistan, Darfur and Kosovo; the costs and benefits of NATO enlargement, and NATO’s evolving relationship with Russia.
