Assistant Professor

The Department of Political Science at Georgia State University invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall 2009. We seek a scholar with research and teaching expertise in Comparative Politics, in International Politics, or at the intersection of both. The department is developing strengths in the areas of democratization, international governance, and human rights but is interested in receiving applications from all research specializations. Successful candidates should demonstrate theoretical and methodological sophistication in their research, and they should be prepared to teach at the undergraduate, MA and PhD levels. Lecturer

The Department of Political Science at Georgia State University invites applications for an anticipated full-time, renewable Lecturer, beginning Fall semester 2009. The successful candidate will teach courses in American politics and government at lower- and upper-division undergraduate levels. Preference will be given to applicants with superior teaching capabilities. Candidates for the Lecturer position must have a Ph.D. (or other terminal degree, such as J.D.) in hand by August 2009. The position holds the possibility of promotion to Senior Lecturer.
