Community Rehabilitation Leadership Program

A three part training series to be held in Atlanta


The Community Rehabilitation Leadership Development Program targets 20 new or emerging leaders within programs that provide community support and employment services to individuals with disabilities. Registration requires a commitment to attend all three training sessions and to participate in independent study activities between sessions (approximately 5 hours per month).

The Program is designed to increase skills and competencies necessary to lead and manage within a community rehabilitation organization, state vocational rehabilitation training center, or a center for independent living. A variety of current topics will be addressed, including the following areas:

Individual leadership skill development
Trends and issues in disability and employment services
Disability rights advocacy
Market based planning
Financial management
Performance management
Internet resources
