Funded Projects

The following Program for Rehabilitation Leadership projects are funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration:

The Regional Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program for Administration and Management

The Georgia State University Regional Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program (RRCEP) for Administration and Management was established in 1978 in order to meet the recurring learning needs of administrators, managers, and supervisors of state vocational rehabilitation agencies within federal Region IV. Over the years this innovative continuing education program has evolved into an on-demand, rapid response resource for public vocational rehabilitation leaders throughout the eight states of Region IV: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

The Region IV Continuing Education Program for Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRP-RCEP IV)

The Region IV Continuing Education Program for Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRP-RCEP) serves community rehabilitation programs located throughout the southeast. Begun in September 1997, the CRP-RCEP is a collaborative project of the Program for Rehabilitation Leadership at Georgia State University and the Center on Disability and Employment at the University of Tennessee.

The CRP-RCEP IV is dedicated to improving the skills of community rehabilitation personnel, and increasing the capacity of states to provide effective community rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. Through training and technical assistance activities, the CRP-RCEP IV promotes the expansion of meaningful employment outcomes, consumer choice and control, and increased independence for individuals with significant disabilities

Consortium on Distance Education in Rehabilitation (CDER)

Georgia State University, the University of North Texas, and San Diego State University operate a university-based Consortium to provide a CORE accredited master's degree program in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. The master's program is available to students throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The CDER program is a rigorous program that utilizes distance learning technologies, which makes the graduate program accessible across multiple localities. The distance education platform creates a rich and safe environment for learning, personal growth and professional support.
