As a lecturer in the psychology department I am mainly focused on improving the quality of the undergraduate academic experience. To this extent I supervise the department's two tutoring centers, run the Psychology Undergraduate Research Conference, as well as teach classes. I encourage undergraduates to use me as a resource to help them get involved in undergraduate research, help them decide what to do after earning a degree in psychology, or help them improve their academic performances in my classes or any other class.
Currently my research revolves around the department's two tutoring centers. I am investigating how tutoring influences student outcomes, both for the students who receive tutoring and the tutors themselves. When students work in my lab my goal is to teach them about the research process and have them take the lead on their own projects. I also actively encourage my research assistants to put posters together for research conferences.
