Safety Courses -Summer 2008

 


Lifeguard Training

Includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid and lifeguard training techniques. No absences allowed. During the first class, must be able to swim 300 yards continuously in the following manner: 100 yards front crawl, 100 yards breast stroke, 100 yards of either front crawl or breast stroke. For breast stroke, you must demonstrate the pull, breathe, kick, and glide sequence. You must also demonstrate: 20 yard front crawl or breast stroke, surface dive, 7 ten feet, retrieve 10 pound brick ; swim 20 yards with brick returning to starting point in a certain period. Books are included. Bring: swimsuit, towel, lock, dinner/lunch, pencil and notebook.

Adult CPR/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
Students will receive certification in American Red Cross Adult CPR and AED.

American Heart Association Basic LIfe Support for
Helathcare Providers
Students will receive a certification in American Heart Association CPR for Adult, Child, and Infant.
