Injuries
If an injury occurs, please contact a member of the recreation staff immediately.
White emergency phones connect directly to the Equipment Issue Desk to provide assistance to users in an emergency. First aid supplies are available at the Equipment Issue Desk located on the lower level, the Service Counter in the lobby, the Game Room and Exercise Room desks, and the Administrative Office on the second floor. All facility supervisors are required to carry first-aid supplies.
All participants are financially responsible for all expenses related to injuries and emergency care, including medical care and ambulance.
Emergency Procedures
In the event of a fire or other emergency, alarms will sound throughout the facility. Recreation staff members or University personnel will provide users with evacuation instructions.
White emergency phones are located at the Equipment Issue Desk on the lower level; in the Exercise Room on the first floor; in the second floor Gym area; on the third floor track area, in the Omni Gym and in both locker rooms.
Fire alarms and extinguishers are located conspicuously throughout the facility.
Do not use the elevator in an emergency.
Users needing help to exit the building should use a white emergency phone or campus phone to call for assistance.
Assumption of Risk
Users assume a risk of injury or even death while participating in recreational activities. All participants are strongly urged to have regular medical check-ups and carry medical insurance coverage. All members and guests are required to sign a waiver.
Elevators
Two elevators are located adjacent to the vending area and are available for use by patrons with special needs as well as transporting recreational sports equipment and supplies. The elevators service all floors while an additional elevator only services the lower level and lobby level from the rear entrance.
