Park from Georgia State. He’ll talk
about the history of the area and
discover the many species of trees in
Piedmont Park. Accompany the group
for a bite to eat at a corner eatery
(bring cash!) and enjoy the evening
walk back.

Trail north of Atlanta and discover

Amicalola Falls State Park
Hike the 604 stairs up and back down
to view this 729 foot cascading waterfall
from all angles – the tallest east of
the Mississippi. Feel the mist cool you
off on this warm afternoon. We’ll also
visit the start of the 2,135 mile
Appalachian Trail and hike a portion of
it around the park.

Providence Canyon State Park
Hike the amazing colors of the “Little
Grand Canyon” in southern Georgia.
Hiking along the rim, then down in,

Tallulah Gorge State Park
On your Climber’s Club decent from
the north rim into the 1,000 ft. deep
gorge you’ll discover a suspension
bridge swaying 80 feet from the
bottom of the gorge and a chance to
walk to the riverbed valley. The
journey back out will reward you with
a punch on your card for completion.

Cloudland Canyon State Park
Spend a day hiking along the rim of
this amazing 1,200ft. deep canyon in
far northwest Georgia and then dive
into the Gorge on the 1 mile, 600 step
Waterfalls Trail. You’ll see two
spectacular cascading waterfalls
spilling over layered sandstone and
then hike out.
