Two year’s of successful trips and we
are going back for more. We just can’t
get enough of this great east coast ski location. Lodging and Ski Times are the same with
Mountain Top Hotel style rooms-- ALL DAY to ski your heart out. This year spend as much time on the slopes as
you can handle with tickets that open the slopes at
Snowshoe has the most recorded annual
snowfall on the east coast on a yearly basis with a vertical drop of 1,500 feet
that provides excellent terrain for both beginners and experienced skiers. This trip will offer you a full 27 hours worth of pure skiing and at the same
time you will be able to enjoy the sights of the northern Appalachian
Mountains.
We will depart from the Student
Recreation Center (TTE garage) at 10 a.m. on Thursday February 10th
to make the trek to West Virginia. It is
about a 10-hour drive so come prepared to ride.
You will be able to ski from 8:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and
Saturday. We will then leave from
Snowshoe Sunday morning to return to GSU by 8 p.m.
We recommend that you do not park your
car on campus for this trip for the sake of security. Please try to find a ride to/from
campus. We will make fast food stops on
the way to and from the resort; however you are welcome to bring your own
food.
Ski/Snowboard rentals are NOT included
in the price to allow those who have their own equipment to not pay more. See the attached form if your need to rent
equipment. The prices for each are
listed on the attached form. A credit
card is required at the time of rental (once at Snowshoe) if a snowboard is
wanted—we’ll make the reservation to ensure it is available for you that
weekend.
