University Senate Committee on Student Discipline

The University Senate Committee on Student Discipline met at 3:30 p.m. on May 13, 1997, in room 796 of the College of Education Building, 1996-97 Committee Chair Al Smith presiding.

Present: Jim Boles (BA), Bil Boozer (Univ. Senate), Marva Carter (A&S), Al Smith (A&S), Bill Waugh (PAUS)

Al Smith convened the committee meeting at 3:35 p.m.

The committee considered the minutes from its February 12, 1996, meeting and adopted them as submitted.

Al Smith discussed the role of the committee and the role of the chair of the committee. He distributed a copy of the committee's report for the 1996-97 academic year.

The floor was opened for nominations for chair for the 1997-98 academic year. Marva Carter nominated Bill Waugh, who accepted the nomination. Bill Waugh was elected chair of the committee by acclamation.

The meeting adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
