The meeting was called to order at 10:15.

Minutes from the February 2, 1999 meeting were approved.

An update of the plans for the Annual conference was presented.

Contact with institutions not currently active in the USGSC was discussed.

The possibility of registering earlier than the third phase under the tuition remission program was discussed. UGA and Georgia State allow enrollment prior to phase three.

The need to have institutions assign representatives and alternates was mentioned.

The impact of semester conversion on staff and enrollment was discussed.

A nominating committee for new officers was formed. Bill Filtz, Ramona Hasan, and Carol Whitcomb were appointed.

A Bylaws committee was formed to see if changes can be made to help the council operate more smoothly. Bill Filtz will head the committee.
