ARTICLE X: IMPEACHMENT

Section 10.1: Any member of the Senate can bring charges of impeachment against any officer of the SGA. The charges must be written and copies must be given to the President of the Senate and the President of the SGA. A copy of the charges must also be given to the officer in question. These written documents must be filled with the Senate Clerk at least five (5) days before any Senate action is taken. The President of the Senate shall present the case to the Senate. All parties involved in the case shall have an opportunity to present themselves to the Senate.

Section 10.2: The Senate will excuse all parties directly and indirectly involved with the case and the Senate will privately discuss the case. The Senate decides the case by secret ballot with a two-thirds (2/3) affirmative vote.

Section 10.3: Any party dissatisfied with the Senate's decision may appeal to the Student Judicial Board.
