Stay in Contact

Our department utilizes several methods of staying in touch with our students to communicate important announcements and advisement information.

Department Listservs | Social Media

A listserv is an electronic mailing list. Our department has two public listservs; one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students.

Undergraduate Listserv - To communicate advisement, announcement, and program information to undergraduate Sociology students. Undergraduate students are automatically added to this listserv when they declare their major as Sociology. Please notify the department advisor if you are an undergraduate Sociology major and are not receiving listserv emails.

Graduate Listserv - To notify graduate students of important opportunities, policies, and announcements. Graduate students are not automatically added to this listserv. Please visit the listserv page to add or remove your email address at any time.

Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload an unlimited number of photos, post links and videos, and learn more about the people they meet. Visit the Sociology Department Facebook Page and become a fan to stay updated with department events, news, and discussions.

Twitter is a free service that lets you keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing? Visit the GSUSociology feed to start receiving important announcements, info on department functions, and advisement information. Join today!

Flickr is an image and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community platform. Our department uses Flickr to share photos from department functions. Visit our page at
