Sociology Club

Undergraduate and graduate students in the Sociology Department are encouraged to become involved in the Sociology Club. 

The specific goals of Georgia State University's Sociology Club include:

  • Facilitating the professional and personal growth of their members
  • Serving as the official liaisons between sociology students and faculty
  • Fostering intellectual growth
  • Sponsoring community service activities

In the past the Sociology Club has sponsored faculty vs. student softball games, hiking trips, book drives, a student mentor system, community service outings, colloquia with guest speakers, travel scholarships, and paper exchange-and-edit sessions.

Meetings are at 12:20pm in General Classroom Building Room 1004 on the following days:

  • February 25th, 2010 (Sociological Forum) 
  • March 2nd, 2010
  • March 16th, 2010
  • March 30th, 2010
  • April 13th, 2010
  • April 27th, 2010
