2/17/09 - Sociology Department Launches New Website
Atlanta, GA (February 17, 2009) - The Department of Sociology at Georgia State University is pleased to announce the launch of its new and improved website. This website offers many of the same great features as the previous site; however, the department has integrated with the university's more user-friendly layout.
Some highlights of new features of the website:
- A listing of current graduate students, graduates on the market, and recent graduates.
- A listing of instuctors by semester to assist current students with quickly locating contact information.
- A new undergraduate internship section with an online database of approved internship sites.
- A new research section highlighting current and ongoing research, publications, grants, and student work.
- An archive of the department newsletter, Sociopath.
- A site map to keep it all organized.
Future website plans in discussion include faculty blogs, expansion of undergraduate advisement resources, more dynamic visual content, and utilzing facebook.
Visitors to the new site are encouraged to provide feedback and suggest new features. Our online feedback form sends information directly to the site webmaster.
