Q.
Who is responsible for entering budget amendment data?
A. The colleges/VP
areas are responsible for entering general funds transfers for their Organization
and Appropriation budgets. This also includes the primary responsibility
for balancing college/VP budgets. Budget & Planning continues to input
revenue adjustments, create new budgets, maintain departmental sales and
services, and review adjustments for resulting overall balanced budgets.

Q.
Since the system is able to process journal entries on-line, who has the
capability to do so, and who is able to post those entries to the system?
A. Users within departments are able
to enter on-line journals, if deemed necessary by their CRT member. However
they are only able to edit, budget check and save them. Accounting Services
then posts the entries, after departmental approval via workflow, as well
as originates journal entries. |
