Look in your system tray for the Symantec Anti-Virus icon (Image 1).

If you do not see this icon, please go to "Start", "All Programs" and look there. If you cannot find "Symantec Anti-Virus" in your programs folder, look to see if you have any anti virus software installed. If you do, please uninstall it completely from your PC and then go to nav.gsu.edu to download the latest version of "Symantec Anti-Virus".

Warning! If you have another virus protection software package installed (example: MacAfee); you will need to completely uninstall if before installing NAV.

2. The second is "Virus Definition File". Look at the date next to version. This is the last time you updated these files. If this date is more than a week old, please click on the "Live Update" button and follow the instructions.
