New Network Connection
Request connectivity to Georgia State's computer network.

Here's what you need to do...
  • Contact the Help Center by phone (404-413-4357) or e-mail (help@gsu.edu).
  • Have the following information available:
    • first & last name of person making the request, phone number, office location
    • room and building of where the connection is needed

Your order is forwarded to a network technician who contacts you and schedules a walk-through survey of the site. A Network Request Form is created which generates a work description, equipment list, and projected cost. This form is sent to you for authorization; upon return of the signed form, your job is prioritized and scheduled.

Your Local Network Administrator (LNA) is often an excellent initial contact since many are familiar with the above procedures; please check with your department's LNA prior to submitting a request.

There is a fee for this service. Please have your departmental charge card available at the time of service.

How long will it take?

2-3 weeks if cabling is needed. 2-3 days if cabling is already in place.
