- Sun Java 1.5_05 must be installed on your computer for WebCT to work. Click

Depending upon
your connection speed, this should only take a few minutes.
- Open the Internet Explorer browser.
- Select Tools.
- Select Internet Options.
- Select the General tab, if its not already selected.
- Click on the Settings button under Temporary Internet
Files heading.
- Select Every visit to the page.
- Click OK.
- Select the Security tab.
- Click the Custom Level button.
- Under the Miscellaneous category, locate Userdata persistence.
- Select Enabled.
- Click OK.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Click and drag the slider bar to the Medium setting.
- Click Edit under the Web Sites heading.
- In the Address of Web site bar, type gsu.view.usg.edu
- Click the Allow button.
- Click OK.
- Select the Connections tab.
- Click the LAN Settings button.
- Select Automatically detect settings.
- Click OK.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Uncheck Show friendly HTTP error messages.
- Check Use Java.
- Uncheck Microsoft VM, if listed.
- Click OK.
- Check to see if you have Microsoft Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed
by clicking here
- After making all of the above changes, close Internet Explorer and
re-open it. The changes will now take effect.
