SPEAK, Students Promoting Engagement Through Activism and Knowledge
SPEAK is a student organization that seeks to foster community building and academic growth among the graduate students in the Women's Studies Institute at Georgia State University. Primarily, SPEAK's purpose is to identify, define, and create ways in which WSI M.A. students can succeed academically as well as professionally. Toward this aim, SPEAK has hosted activities geared toward academic/professional growth. These include curriculum vitae and Conference proposal/writing workshops.
SPEAK also functions as a bridge for activism and outreach, offering students a way to participate in awareness and community building activities
SPEAK welcomes the assistance, participation, and cooperation of undergraduate students and graduate students from other disciplines.

Faces of Feminism
Faces of Feminism is an activist feminist/womanist student organization that is open to all students interested in social justice around gender issues.

BlackOUT
BlackOUT. The membership of this organization is comprised of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students of African descent at Georgia State University. The purpose of BlackOUT is to create a safe space on the campus of Georgia State University for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning people of African descent; to foster dialogue that promotes consciousness-raising particularly around intersections of racial, sexual, and gender identities and oppression; to develop programming that fosters understanding and awareness of the culture(s) of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning people of African descent; and to promote social and academic justice through collaborative efforts with other groups who are engaged in comparable goals and objectives for the betterment of the campus of Georgia State University and the local community.
