  • October 25, 2007 - Donna Goldstein, Associate Professor, Anthropology Department, University of Colorado-Boulder - "Guns, Gangs, and Global Actors: How Brazil Lost the Gun Ban Referendum." Co-sponsored by the Department of Anthropology & the Center for Latin American and Latino/a Studies.
  • February 18, 2008 - Janet Jakobsen, Director of the Barnard Center for Research on Women - "Perverse Justice: AIDS, Economics, and the 'War on Terror.'" Co-sponsored by the Atlanta Women's Foundation and the Jean Beer Blumenfeld Center for Ethics.
